The Arborist Pre-Apprenticeship Program has opened our trade to a whole new group of people who may never have considered arboriculture as a profession before. We have had great success with hiring pre-apprentice students through The Career Foundation. Their skills and knowledge base is excellent, but their drive, attitude, and enthusiasm seems to exceed that of other apprentices in our field. With the shortage of skilled workers in the tree care industry, I am optimistic this program is providing us with skilled, qualified individuals that are more than capable of becoming excellent arborists a short time after the completion of the their apprenticeship program.
