About the Empowering Abilities Program
If you are a person with a disability who is looking for individualized assistance to obtain employment, The Career Foundation’s Empowering Abilities program is designed for you!
Through the Empowering Abilities program, you can obtain:
- Job placements and job coaching;
- Job-specific certifications;
- First Aid/CPR and WHMIS training;
- Wage subsidies for job placements.
Please note that eligible participants must have little or no recent attachment to the labour force, and be willing to participate in different program elements over a duration of 10 weeks.

Employers, are you looking to fill your vacant positions with skilled people? If so, The Career Foundation’s Empowering Abilities program can assist your business with its hiring needs by matching you with skilled Ontarians, all at no cost to you.
Through the Empowering Abilities program, you can obtain:
- Recruitment, selection and job coaching support;
- Skilled applicants with certifications such as WHMIS, First Aid/CPR, Smart Serve, Safe Food Handling, and Retail Sales and Loss Prevention;
- Wage subsidies for job placements.
